Playing Strategies

Playing Strategies - To avaid making common mistake by begginners and average players and improve your chance of winning in blackjack, it's very important to know some basic startegies of drawing cards. It's very common to see players on a blackjack table standing on hands of 13, 14, 15, 16 and beat the dealer's hand, if you learned the mystery behind this, it will save you a lot of money in the game.

  • When dealer is holding a 4, 5 or 6, these are the most favour cards players want to see in dealer's hand, because these are cards that will ended up a busted hand (exceed 21 points) most of the time. In this situation, if you are holding cards added up to points of 9, 10, or 11, always double your bets; and always stopped drawing cards if you have points of 12 or over and let the dealer to get his busted hand instead of drawing cards.
  •
  • Never double your bets on 9 when the dealer is holding a picture card or a 10, because if you drawn a 10 (which is a very good card), that only gives you 19, and 19 is not a good winning hand against a 10. Even you lucky enough and drawn an Ace, that only get you to 20.
  •
  • Standing on Soft 17 against dealer's 7 - Soft 17 is an Ace and a 6, it can be counts as 7 or 17 points. Many experienced players do not realize the advantage of standing on soft 17 against dealer's 7. Let's take a look at this, poker has 13 type of cards, 1 (ace) to King. When you are on soft 17, only 4 cards (1, 2, 3, 4) out of 13 cards can improve you hand; there are 4 cards (10, Jack, Queen, King) will not change your hand; and there are 5 cards (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) will decrease your hand, is 20% more than what can improve your hand.

    While looking at the dealer's side, there are 5 cards (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) that will make the dealer's 7 an below-average hand.

  • One Very Last Strategy
Never fear to increase your bets when you are having lucks of getting good cards!
